After the fight, Jerry established a marching pace. Stina's sniping prompted Rossi to volunteer to carry the scouts' gear. Rossi and Bianca were discussing their different childhoods when Rossi mused something romantic about Corvin and, embarrassed, urged Bianca not to repeat it. Fiona bounced around being quirky, and they talked about Bianca's disturbing backstory, finding the orphans' assigned roles weird. Unlike the orphans, the village children were trained for defense, however Baron, a proficient guard, is a bit of a bully and intimidated the outsiders in the village.
